Blackjack Casino Game

Blackjack is a card game that is very popular at both in-house and online casinos. Although there are many variations, all blackjack casino games are based upon the same principle--to get a score as close to 21 as possible without going over.

How to Play Blackjack

In casino blackjack games, players will never bet against another player; they will only bet against the dealer. The players place their bets, the dealer hands out two cards to himself and each player, and the player tries to build a hand as close to 21 as possible without going over. The cards from two to nine are valued at their face numbers, face cards are counted as 10, and Aces can be valued at either one or 11 depending on the hand being played. Suit holds no importance in the game, and players can continue to take cards until they have a score that they believe will beat the dealer. If the player scores more than 21 they go 'bust' and lose their initial wager.

Winning at Blackjack

A two-card blackjack--also known as a 'natural'--provides the player with an instant win. Payouts will vary based upon the particular casino, the number of decks being used, and other rules that players should carefully study before playing. Different ways of playing lend different payout tables. For instance, a player who chooses to 'double down'--or double their original bet, take a third card, and stand on that card until the round ends will inevitably win more than the player who simply beats the dealer with a score of 19.

Although there are many casino games that are simple to play, such as slots and roulette, there is no game on Earth that can compete with the excitement of casino blackjack games.
